I was 11 years old. Had never heard of The Beatles. Was watching Wonderful World of Disney, “The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh.” It was part 2, the first part was on the prior Sunday. I was watching the T.V. by myself having waited the entire week to see this Disney show part 2. My younger sister came running in from outside yelling, “The Beatles are on!” My parents were in the kitchen and must have read or known about The Beatles. They came in the living room and made me change the channel over to Ed Sullivan. I was furious! “That’s not fair”, I was watching the T.V alone, no one else was even in the room! I was so mad I couldn’t see straight! After 30 seconds or so my parents said, OK you can change it back. I remember saying, “don’t touch the T.V” I was totally mesmerized by these 4 long hair guy’s with guitars, dressed in black suits. I was a Beatle fanatic from that moment on. I became a lifelong musician. Music and songwriting being my career of over 30 years! I saw McCartney and Harrison in person and to this day, I am a loyal and totally thankful person for what The Beatlis have meant to my entire life. The Beatles and their music, long live forever. There will never again be anything the likes of The Beatles! Not ever!!! John, Paul, George and Ringo. Thank You!:-)
